Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a sum in accordance with the original wager. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays cash even with your wager and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
